Cross Tee Photo shoot

On December 2nd we released our second Limited Edition t-shirt- Cross Tee!

Take a look at our latest photoshoot! In contrast to the previous Photoshoot for the Concrete Jungle tee which was captured in a cellar with brick work, we wanted to take this one into the outdoors for a more organic look. We went to Worthington Park in Sale Cheshire where Pete Oakley captured these brilliant shots!

This design was by far the favourite in the Facebook vote so we have had high hopes! We wanted to release this first but due to it being a 5 colour print we needed to wait for the money to come in! Those screens are expensive!

Background of our Design

We took the photograph featured on the Tee on a Trip to Berlin with University. The wall we photographed was in the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp overlooking the entrance. It's such a powerful image and has received lots of attention.

Although we did think that this was a sensitive subject to be touching upon we found some nice quotes which were giving the people of Berlin a sense of hope in the museum! Hence the title on the Tee 'Berlin is Free'.

When we visited Berlin we went on a Fat Tyre Bike Tour where we learnt lots about the country and it's history. We were told that the Germans were scared of anything like that happening again and that lots of the remaining history had been hidden or destroyed - for instance Hitlers Bunker has now been covered with a Car park and flats!

Concrete Jungle Photo Shoot

Because our Concrete Jungle t-shirt has a sharp/clean design we thought it would be best to photograph it in a contrasting setting. After a couple of hours planning we came up with the idea of keeping it simple and using walls around the house. I have just moved into a house which at the moment is being decorated, we took advantage of the stripped decor and the bare brick cellar.

We are lucky enough to have a friend as a photographer who we can now work with regularly. We have recently designed some logos for Pete and we are also going to be designing flyers for him in the future. This way we don't need to worry about money, we can just re pay by doing design work for him. We learnt a lot from our photographer Pete Oakley and will look forward to our next shoot!

Top Ten

The Votes are In!

205 Likes later... We have our Top Ten Designs!

During January we had a voting poll on Facebook. People would visit our page and 'like' their top ten designs out of forty. Many of the votes came as surprises to us, t-shirts we thought would be losers became the clear winners! Which therefore made the whole thing worth while!

We created interest in our t-shirts, people were getting excited about our designs and it has really spurred us on! We would like to thank everyone who helped us out... Hopefully it won't be too long before these are for sale.

Islington Mill

Went to see One69a Studio today in Islington Mill. What a place! Tons of studios full of designers and makers. It took us back to when we visited the Taschels in Berlin. If we choose to print here they're going to let us print ourselves! Good experience and also keeping down those costs!

One day we would love a studio here...

Finished Catalogues!!

After a long few weeks of designing and decision making our Tshirts are finished!! And we're so pleased with the result!!

We decided the best way to show off our designs would be to use a catalogue format. Our catalogue features all forty designs as well as our inspirations and original photography- contact information can be found on the back page.

We felt that the way we bound our book was important for the presentation of our ideas. Originally we were going to staple our book together our use a ring binder, but thinking more into it we believed that sewing would be more appropriate, bringing tools used in fashion and producing a more exclusive and handmade look! We used the pamphlet stitch with black cotton - a simple but nice touch.

It would have been easier to go to the printer.... But we wanted to do it ourselves and feel the full sense of achievement!

Hand in time TOMORROW! Hope the guys like what we have produced.. We will keep you updated!
